News and Notes 2017 November

We had a festive Halloween and now we are thinking about turkey, football, family and friends (not in that order of course)! The temps are falling but our spirits are high especially with all the activities HRC is doing indoors! Here is a quick update on happenings at the club…

INDOOR TENNIS PROGRAMMING
We have posted our clinic schedule online and on fliers in the club. Come check out our drop in clinics, Cardio Tennis and round robins this indoor season! We are in the middle of a 6 week session with the kids, with plan on doing a Holiday Tennis Camp Dec 26-28 and another six week session in January.
For those looking for more indoor play opportunities have no fear! We will be sending out a survey/signup for those looking for additional play opportunities for the indoor season. Be on the lookout and make sure to let us know how we can help!

FITNESS ADDITIONS
This month we installed new speakers for the workout room. Before the end of the year we will have another tv of cable channels available. We fixed the corner of the ceiling of the group fitness room so hopefully there will be no more problems when we have a big wind/rain storm event. We also added a couple of programs including…

WALLYBALL
What is wallyball? It’s basically volleyball in a racquetball court. Wallyball is available Saturday 10 am until noon. All abilities welcome. It’s free for full and fitness members, $5 for non-members.

RACQUETBALL AT NIGHT
Starting November 28th, we will have drop-in racquetball at night. Four courts will be available for singles, doubles or cutthroat. All abilities welcome. It’s free for members or $5 for fitness members and non-members

EVENTS
We have two events scheduled and one TBA. The Tennis Turkey Poker Trot is going on now, with one session yesterday morning and the second tonight. December 3rd we will have our second annual Cookie Exchange and Champagne Tasting from 4-6. This is event is free but limited space is available so sign up today! The Silver Sneakers/Fitness ladies are planning a Christmas event, but a date hasn’t been finalized yet. Stay tuned for that!

INDOOR SOCCER
The cold has come and all our soccer players are moving indoors. Adult and youth soccer league registrations are going on now and close November 27th. Leagues start December 4th and go to the end of January. Sign-ups are online at our website.

And check out the improvements at “The Bull Ring”! Supermom Dottie has been at it again, working hard and washing down all the boards and putting up HRC logos above the goals. She has also been clearing and cleaning out areas behind the goals. We have a little more repair work that will be worked on in the next two weeks to be ready for the new season. The place is looking good!

A decade later, the cialis generic online try content Crossley Xervac used vacuum suction to stimulate hair growth — you could rent one for home use or get the same treatment in a barbershop. Each of these forms starts free samples levitra working within half an hour of taking. The cialis 40 mg peroneal nerve is in fact externally the thigh around four fingers over the knee. This enzyme has only one work of stopping the blood from leaving the penile 5mg cialis price region. IMPROVEMENTS
Speaking of improvements, we have a pretty aggressive schedule for the rest of 2017. Besides the turf field area, we are going to be putting new backdrops in on the indoor tennis courts and adding a TV screen at the end of the building. We are also doing some seating upgrades adding a TV to the upstairs viewing area.

We had some bad news this week in that the one HVAC we haven’t already replaced (the clubhouse one) is on its last legs two years before our planned replacement. Therefore we will be getting a new system there which is great for long term but of course comes with an unplanned price tag. As with everything, we will adjust our capital projects plan accordingly so some projects will have to be moved back since the HVAC unit moves to the top of the list. We are still committed to the projects mentioned above, but others will be delayed.

We are getting ready for an LED retrofit of all our fluorescent lighting. Chris has installed three different retrofit setups in the hallway in the arena. Check them out and let one of the HRC staff know which you like best!

We have just completed a complete LED retrofit lighting of racquetball court 3 as well as making some repairs on that court. Early reports from the players have been positive! We are working on court four next week and will be improving it with some relamping and wall clean up.
