News and Notes 10 25 2017

News and Notes is back! Our monthly newsletter has returned. So much is going on, it’s hard to keep
track! We will mention news here, but always check the website and social media to get the most up to
date info.

Silver Sneakers celebration
Today we had our local celebration of Silver Sneaker’s 25th Anniversary! We are proud to be
Hendersonville’s biggest Silver Sneakers location! Our members and instructors are great! 40+ people
came by, ate well, got some free goodies and had a lot of fun!

Halloween Hoot this Friday
HRC’s annual Halloween tennis social, the Halloween Hoot, is this Friday, October 27 starting at 5:30 pm.
Come in costume and bring an appetizer or drink to share. Free play will happen as well as some fun drilling
with Bobby for prizes. C’mon out and play!

Outdoor clay season ends
To all good things must come an end…for this year! The outdoor clay courts are scheduled to be closed
after November 5th and open again around April 1st. We have some exciting improvements planned for
the area that we will do during our down time, so next season will be even better!

Indoor season starts with a new schedule
Our fall/winter tennis season has started! Check the website for the complete schedule. Indoor contracts
start up November 6th…and a couple of prime time slots are still available! The courts by the pond are also
available all winter long.

New programs in November
Walleyball and night racquetball are coming to HRC this November! Walleyball will be playing Saturday
mornings at 10 am. Night racquetball is currently planned for Tuesdays starting at 6 pm. Both are free to
members and $5 for non-members.

Improvements at HRC
This summer we ended up doing a lot of repair work, building a storage shed off of court 2 and fixing
drainage issues. November gets us back into more visible improvements to HRC. We will be working for
about a week in the arena installing a new backdrop behind the indoor courts as well as fixing a couple of
lights and installing a new lights control module. We also plan on installing a couple of new digital signs in
the arena and foyer. We are constantly trying to make HRC better!

New Face
We are happy to be adding new HRC Family member! Trey Ambrose is a USPTA certified Tennis Pro that
will be running youth programs and Cardio Tennis while doing some front desk work when needed.

…so that is the brief version of what’s going on at HRC. Thanks for being a part of the club and please let
us know how we can help you!
