POT LUCK PICNIC

Our potluck picnic on Friday, September 28th was AMAZING!  We had over 100 people attend…including a special appearance by ELVIS!  Thanks so much to HRC’s Briana for all her work putting the event together and to Richard and Dottie Brown for opening up their Mountain Ranch in Horse Shoe for us. We are already making plans for next year!

CLUBHOUSE LOCKERS

We are adding new locks to the clubhouse locker rooms that will be available for daily one-time use or long term monthly or annual use and getting everything organized in this endeavor.  If you are using a locker that has a lock on it in the clubhouse locker rooms, please let us know.  All lockers/locks not claimed and recorded will be removed after October 24th.  HRC needs a copy of the keys, so either provide a copy or give us the key and we will have a copy made and return the original to you. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation!

CLUB UPGRADES

It’s fall, so a lot of our maintenance time is spent cleaning up leaves, cleaning out gutters and similar items.  However, we still have been clearing out overgrown areas around the pond courts and courts 3-6.

On the LED upgrade/retrofit front, we have installed the new lighting in the pro shop and maintenance room.  Next is the clubhouse hallway, kitchen, then the arena/fitness building, then the rest of the clubhouse.  The lighting levels should be the same or greater than you are enjoying now!

Our biggest project this month is disassembling the turf field and turning it back to a tennis court.  Having 10-15 volunteers on our workday will go far in being able to move the project forward in being able to have that court open by November 4th.  After taking it all away, we have to move backdrops/tarps to their correct locations, make necessary repairs to the surface, paint repair spots and then clean everything up.  It is a big undertaking, but we are up to the task!

….thanks for being a part of the HRC family.  If you need anything or have any comments/questions, please don’t hesitate to ask any of our staff.  Enjoy the fall, have some apple cider and donuts, keep active and see you at the club!

Sincerely,
Chris, Cindy and staff
